With the A6700, you'll always find the perfect composition. The AI-controlled autofocus focuses accurately and quickly on your subject during both still and video shooting. The autofocus recognises people, animals, birds, insects, cars, planes and even trains. You can quickly change subjects while the camera focuses with lightning speed and precision. The AI chip is so smart that it even recognises human and animal subjects with their backs to the camera, so you never lose sight of your subject again. The autofocus range is very wide with 769 focus points, which is a whopping 93% of the screen. You don't even have to worry about framing anymore, AI-based autoframing subject matter ensures that your subject always stays prominently in view.

Impressive frame rates

For filmmakers, the A6700 combines some of the best features of the Sony Cinema series. The rotary knob on the back switches between photo and video mode in an instant. The camera lets you shoot razor-sharp videos at huge frame rates. You film in 4K at 120 fps and in Full HD at an amazing 240 fps. At all resolutions and frame rates, you can record in 10-bit 4:2:2 for brilliant colour depth. For precise control over your shots, you can use S-Cinetone and S-Log3 image profiles or apply LUTs.

The Sony E 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II is a lightweight lens with a versatile focal length of 16-50mm. The versatile focal length makes the lens suitable for all kinds of photography. From portraits to wide-angle shots, the Sony E 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II can do it all.

The aperture range is f/3.5-5.6 to f/22-36. Seven rounded aperture blades ensure beautiful bokeh. Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode keeps your images stable, even during lots of movement. This mark II lens also keeps following your subject as you zoom. The minimum focusing distance is 25 centimetres.

The optical construction consists of nine elements in eight groups. One extra-low dispersion and four aspherical lens elements prevent annoying distortions and reduce chromatic aberrations. A Multi-Coating further improves image quality.

Thanks to its light weight and compact size, the lens is also perfect for on-the-go. The lens is even lighter than its predecessor, weighing just 107g. The retractable design makes the lens extra compact, only when you turn the camera on, the lens is extended.
