The Vaonis CLS Filter for Vespera is a light pollution filter that can help improve the quality of your photos when observing in the city or suburbs. It reduces the effects of light pollution, increasing the contrast between the photographed object in the sky and the background sky.

An essential accessory for observations from environments with high levels of light pollution (urban and suburban environments, residential lighting, etc.). The broadband filter blocks the wavelengths of Na (sodium) and Hg (mercury), which primarily originate from nocturnal urban lighting or unwanted natural light (atmospheric oxygen radiation, etc.), whilst allowing the key wavelengths of celestial objects to pass through.

The light pollution filter is particularly useful for enhancing the brightness of deep-sky objects: nebulae, star clusters, galaxies, etc. Thanks to the filtered wavelengths, it is especially effective on emission nebulae. Specially designed for the Vaonis Vespera lens, it fits easily and discreetly into the optical arm. The lens ring holding the CLS filter features an electronic card that allows the Vespera to detect it.
