The SZX is easy to take on your travels thanks to its low weight and compact size. Yet despite these characteristics, the Tokina SZX Super Tele effortlessly brings distant subjects closer, achieving a reach that simply isn't possible with standard zoom lenses.
The lens features a catadioptric optical design and a constant aperture of f/8.0. The lens elements are coated with a multi-layer anti-reflection coating, allowing you to use a longer shutter speed in low-light conditions. The highly reflective silver coating on the mirrored surfaces, combined with the protective anti-oxidant layer on the rear, ensures a longer lifespan for the lens.
The Tokina SZX Super Tele 500mm f/8.0 Reflex MF has a field of view of 4° (per image diagonal) and a minimum focusing distance of 170 cm. It offers a magnification of 1:2.86, enabling you to capture a full-frame image of a subject measuring 6 x 9 cm. These characteristics help you avoid casting shadows or startling insects when shooting close-up photos.
Supplied with lens caps and a lens hood. The SZX Super Tele supports 72 mm (front) and 30.5 mm (rear) filters, giving you the freedom to use creative filters for artistic purposes.
