The SMDV Cine Modifier 180 is a light modifier for LED cine lights up to 5000 watts. It gives soft light like a softbox, but directs the beam forward. A regular softbox scatters the light and therefore loses reach. The Cine is built deeper and aims the light forward, so less light falls beside your subject. SMDV measures up to 40 percent more light in the center of the beam than with its own Flip44Pro. The 180 is intended for large sets, where you need broad diffusion and a focused beam at the same time.

You click the mount adapter into the back with the One-Touch system and remove it again without tools. This lets you switch light brands in about a second. There are four adapters, which you order separately: the A-mount for the Aputure Electro Storm CS15, XT26 and XT52, the NL-mount for the Nanlux Evoke 900C, 1200, 1200B, 2400B and 5000B, the G-mount for the Godox MG1200R, MG2400R and MG4K, and the Bowens mount for lights with a Bowens mount. This way, one light modifier can be used on multiple lights.

You work with a front diffuser and an inner diffuser, both with the same One-Touch system. Switching therefore takes just a few seconds, even when the light is already on the stand.
