The SmallRig 5960 "Black Mamba" Cage Kit for Canon EOS R6 Mark III / R6 Mark II is designed to improve handheld operation, increase portability, and support accessory expansion. The complete set includes a camera cage, an HDMI and USB-C cable clamp, and the distinctive "Black Mamba" handle — all embodying the sleek and aggressive Black Mamba design style that combines aesthetics with practical functionality for photographers.
The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, making low-angle shooting and easy carrying effortless. The cage features multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, 1/4"-20 positioning holes, 3/8"-16 threaded holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 positioning holes, a cold shoe mount, an Arca-compatible interface, a QD connector, and strap slots. These versatile options allow users to attach monitors, microphones, tripods, follow focus systems, handles, and other accessories, supporting a wide range of video production needs.
For a secure fit, the cage is mounted to the camera using a 1/4"-20 screw at the bottom and dual positioning blocks on the side, ensuring stability and anti-rotation. The Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release interface at the bottom enables direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (SmallRig ID 4353, 4060) and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, and RS 4 Pro gimbals, allowing you to switch quickly between handheld, tripod, and gimbal shooting.
The ergonomic Black Mamba handle on top is coated in silicone for a non-slip grip and cold-weather comfort, ensuring a reliable hold during extended handheld shooting sessions. In addition, the included HDMI and USB-C cable clamp features a thumbscrew for quick attachment and mounting, preventing accidental disconnections and ensuring reliable data transfer while filming.
