The SmallRig 5755 x Potato Jet TRIBEX CARBON II Tripod Kit is designed for professional outdoor videography and offers fast, easy operation. Thanks to X-Clutch hydraulic technology, all legs can be quickly unfolded, the angle adjusted, and automatically locked within one second by pressing a single clutch — delivering a seamless experience for photographers. The clutch can also be set to 45° and 90°, making it suitable for a variety of shooting scenarios.
The legs and centre column are made from carbon fibre, resulting in a lightweight design with exceptional stability and a high load capacity. The working height ranges from 27 cm to 168 cm, and the compact packed length is 79 cm. The centre column features a quick-lock mechanism for easy height adjustment, with a removable hex key built into the opposite side of the hook for straightforward mounting and dismounting of camera equipment, as well as the option for low-angle shooting at a minimum height of 27 cm. Thanks to the tripod's compact design, it fits in any standard luggage (28").
The kit includes a compact, lightweight fluid head with an adjustable counterbalance system featuring 4 settings. When the centre of gravity height is set to 55 mm, the 4-step counterbalance system effectively stabilises cameras or other equipment (up to 6 kg), while providing precise control over camera tilt. The fluid head enables smooth, stepless adjustments for tilt and pan drag, catering to the varied shooting preferences of filmmakers.
The fluid head features a new Touch-and-Go quick-release plate design that requires no alignment and is more efficient than traditional sliding plates. The plate is compatible with the 501 quick-release plate and quick-release plates from the DJI RS series, enabling rapid transitions between gimbals and tripods during filming. The user-friendly, removable telescopic handle allows easy operation of the head on both the left and right sides, making it compatible with any grip. The fluid head also features three 1/4"-20 threaded holes for attaching accessories such as Magic Arms, along with a built-in flat-head screw for easy camera installation and removal. The tripod is also equipped with quick-release rubber feet with integrated spikes, for seamless adaptation to different terrains.
