SmallRig 4983B L-Shape Mount Plate for Canon EOS R5 Mark II
The SmallRig 4983B L-Shape Mount Plate for Canon EOS R5 Mark II is designed to switch quickly between landscape and portrait shooting whilst improving your grip on the camera. The L-shaped mounting plate attaches securely to the camera via a 1/4"-20 screw on the base and two positioning blocks on the sides to prevent misalignment. The plate features built-in silicone pads to protect the camera from scratches.
For portrait shooting, the included positioning block with cold shoe mount stabilises the centre of the frame, preventing image shift caused by side panel flex. This positioning block is compatible with a range of optional cold shoe accessories such as microphones (SmallRig ID 3487), video lights (SmallRig ID 3286B), transmitters and flash units, enabling lightweight photography or videography.
The side panel can be extended by 22.5 mm, making cable management easier during portrait shooting, and adjusted 7.8 mm forwards and backwards without blocking the HDMI, microphone or other interfaces on the side of the camera.
The side panel design allows the screen to be rotated approximately 100° forwards and backwards. Both the base plate and the side panel leave the camera's controls fully accessible, including the battery compartment, card slot and the use of right-angle cables.
The mounting plate features multiple expansion interfaces, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, a QD interface, cold shoe mounts and strap slots, allowing accessories such as a QD shoulder strap (SmallRig ID 4118), a microphone (SmallRig ID 3468) and tripods (SmallRig ID 3989, 4353) to be attached for a variety of shooting scenarios.
The Arca-Swiss quick-release base plate enables direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (SmallRig ID 4060, 4353) and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilisers, allowing you to switch quickly between stabiliser, handheld and tripod configurations. In addition, the cage features a magnetic dual key head on the underside for easy attachment and removal.
