The Sigma 85mm F/1.4 ART DG HSM is designed for full frame Canon EF-mount cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models. The lens has an equivalent focal length of 136mm. The fast, maximum aperture of F/1.4 is very well suited to working in low light and also gives you more control over the focus position. The 9 aperture blades are designed to create a nearly round aperture opening. This produces a very attractive Bokeh. The lens construction is designed to correct chromatic aberrations across the entire focusing range. This results in very sharp, clear and high-contrast images, regardless of the focus point or aperture setting. The optical design also helps to control distortion and vignetting.
The lens is also equipped with the Hyper Sonic AF motor, which provides fast, quiet and accurate focusing, and a large focus ring, so you can focus manually simply by turning the focus ring at any moment.
The Sigma 85mm F/1.4 ART DG HSM features a Super Multi-Layer Coating. It minimises ghosting and lens flare and helps produce high-contrast, colour-neutral images, even in backlit situations.
