Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Sigma
This Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art lens is designed for APS-C sensor Sigma-mount DSLR cameras, providing a 35mm equivalent focal length of 80-160mm. The constant maximum aperture delivers consistent low-light performance across the entire zoom range, while also offering greater control over focus for shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.
The Sigma F1.8 DC HSM Art shares exactly the same focus and zoom characteristics as the 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art, making both lenses equally suited to photography and videography. The aperture blades feature a carbon feather coating and a new fluorine polycarbonate material, enabling exceptionally smooth aperture adjustment combined with outstanding durability.
Complementing the versatile telephoto range, the lens features an advanced optical design incorporating three F Low Dispersion elements, a Special Low Dispersion element, and a high-refractive index, high-dispersion glass element. This combination of low dispersion designs significantly reduces chromatic aberration and colour fringing across the entire zoom range, while also delivering a high degree of contrast and clarity. In addition, a Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to the lens elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting, ensuring optimal performance in strong lighting conditions.
Alongside its imaging capabilities, the lens features a refined physical construction with internal focusing and zoom mechanisms that keep the overall length of the lens to a minimum during use. A Hyper Sonic AF motor provides fast and quiet autofocus, along with the ability to override focus manually at any point for greater control. The aperture is constructed from fluorine-coated polycarbonate together with a carbon spring film, delivering exceptionally smooth, controlled performance during burst shooting. For added stability, the lens is fitted with a tripod collar, allowing you to mount it on a tripod or monopod.
PLEASE NOTE: This lens is only compatible with Sigma camera bodies.
