The Sigma 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art is a full-frame zoom lens with a constant maximum aperture of f/1.8, allowing you to capture stunning shots even in low-light situations, with a beautiful bokeh effect. The lens features an internal zoom mechanism and a minimum focusing distance of 30 centimetres across the entire zoom range. Thanks to this mechanism, the length of the lens always remains the same, regardless of focal length or focus distance. This makes it ideal for use with a tripod or a gimbal, for example.

The 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art corrects optical aberrations across the entire zoom range, delivering sharpness comparable to that of prime lenses. Ghosting and flare are also kept to a minimum thanks to Sigma's advanced Nano Porous and Super Multi-layer coatings. Focus breathing is suppressed during video recording, enabling natural focus transitions. What's more, the motor is virtually silent, allowing you to film without any unwanted noise.

When developing the 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art, Sigma equipped the lens with a range of professional features. The AF mechanism uses an HLA (High-response Linear Actuator), combining rapid focusing speed with outstanding precision. Smooth and precise manual focusing is achieved via the by-wire focus ring. The lens features an aperture ring, an aperture ring click switch, and a lock switch. In addition, the two AFL buttons can be assigned to specific functions depending on the camera type. Finally, the housing is dust- and splash-resistant, and the front lens surface is treated with a water- and oil-repellent coating.
