The Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art, with a maximum aperture of f/1.4 and a focal length of 14 millimetres, is exceptionally well suited to the dedicated astrophotographer. Capturing the night sky requires not only careful planning, but also the right equipment. This ultra wide angle lens delivers ultimate optical performance and sublime results. Sagittal coma flare — a lens aberration that causes points of light at the edge of the frame to take on the shape of a comet's tail — is uniformly corrected.

Another reason why this lens is ideal for astrophotography and handheld photography in low-light situations is that, at an aperture of f/1.4, it lets in as much as 58% more light compared to f/1.8 variants. The lens is constructed from 19 elements in 15 groups, creating a sophisticated lens configuration that enables advanced aberration correction.

The Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is also equipped with a High-response Linear Actuator (HLA). This system delivers exceptionally fast, precise, and near-silent autofocus. The lens barrel is made from aluminium combined with Thermally Stable Composite. Its dust- and splash-resistant construction, along with the water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element, makes the lens perfectly suited to nocturnal outdoor photography.

The lens comes with a removable tripod mount that is Arca-Swiss compatible, eliminating the need for a separate quick release plate. In addition, the lens cap features a filter holder on the rear, allowing you to store your filters safely. The barrel also includes an AFL button to which you can assign your own function — enhancing both your creative freedom and overall ease of use.
