Dynamic microphones like the legendary Shure SM7B are known to require a lot of preamp gain. The MVX2U delivers up to 60dB of crystal-clear ‘clean gain’, so even the most demanding microphones sound full and clear straight away, without noise. Condenser microphones work just as easily; the adapter provides the required +48V phantom power.

The rugged metal housing weighs just 100 grams and fits in the palm of your hand. Clip it directly onto the bottom of your microphone for a minimalist setup, or connect it via a standard XLR cable. On the underside you’ll find a 3.5mm headphone output, so you can monitor your recording with zero latency. With the included USB-C cable, you’re ready to record straight away on both Mac and Windows.
