The Samyang 45mm f/1.8 AF Sony FE is a full-frame autofocus lens especially for Sony cameras. The lens is very compact and performs superbly, making it ideal for the portrait and travel photographer. The brightness of the lens is designed for creatives who work outdoors or in the studio. The optical design of the lens consists of seven elements in six groups, with one aspherical and one extra low dispersion element. The lens parts have the Samyang Ultra Multi Coating that reduces ghosting and lens flare to a minimum. Thanks to the size of the aperture, the lens develops a soft reproduction of the foreground and background with a very nice bokeh effect. The Samyang 45mm f/1.8 is specially designed for Sony's full-frame cameras. On a full-frame sensor, the 45mm provides the most optimal view and the correct perspective for displaying a human or animal's face. With the blurred background, the focus is drawn fully on the main subject. The lens can also be used on an APS-C sensor and then gives an angle of view that is comparable to a 68mm lens.
