With the OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 III, you have one lens for almost everything. You zoom from wide-angle to a light telephoto, equivalent to 28-84mm on a full-frame camera. That means you can shoot a landscape, a building and then a portrait without ever swapping lenses.

You can get as close as 13 centimetres to your subject — great when you want to fill the frame with a flower, a dish or a small detail. The autofocus is fast and virtually silent, so it won't cause any issues while filming either. Three aspherical lens elements keep your shots sharp with minimal distortion, and the 7 rounded aperture blades produce a smooth, soft background.

New to this version is improved sealing: when you use the lens on a splash-proof OM SYSTEM or Olympus camera, the combination is dust- and splash-proof to IPX1. Starting to rain? Just keep shooting. Filters attach easily thanks to the 46mm filter thread. The lens weighs just 125 grams and retracts when not in use, keeping your camera light and compact, exactly what you want when travelling or heading out for the day. It takes up barely any space in your bag.
