The Nikkor Z 14-30mm F4 S offers an impressive wide-screen range and is an ultra-wide angle zoom lens for Nikon's FX-format mirrorless Z-series system. The wide field of view is particularly suitable for landscape, architecture, and astrophotography applications, and the constant maximum aperture of f / 4 ensures consistent illumination throughout the entire zoom range. With regard to optical design, the lens features four extra-low dispersion elements and four aspherical elements, which reduce a variety of aberrations and distortion to produce images with high sharpness, clarity and accurate color reproduction. Both Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings are also used to suppress flare and ghosting for better color fidelity and higher contrast.

In addition to the optics, a stepper motor offers fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus performance, along with a full-time manual focus override for both photos and video applications.
