The Leica APO Summicron M 35mm f/2 is a fast wide-angle prime lens that is characterised by exceptionally high optical performance. With this lens, you can get started at just 30 centimetres from your subject. This, in combination with the high light sensitivity, gives you a lot of possibilities to let your creativity run wild. The lens comes with a lens hood, which means you will have less trouble with anti-reflection coatings. This allows you to easily take pictures with backlight or against the sun.

Exceptional image quality

The 35mm lens is made up of ten lens elements divided into five groups, three of which are aspherical elements. This reduces spherical aberrations, resulting in edge-to-edge sharpness.

Short focussing distance

If you in practice get started with the Leica APO 35mm you can start taking pictures at short distances. This lens is namely extremely suitable for a short focussing distance. The focus ring has an exceptionally large focus stroke of 300°, so you always have extremely sharp pictures. Via the rangefinder you can focus up to 70 centimetres from your object. The 30cm focussing distance can be controlled via the LCD screen in live view mode.
