A background cloth ensures that you have a nice, even background on your photo. So you can use a background cloth for many different types of photography. Think for example of family photos, photos of your pet, portraits or even food photography. The use of a background cloth has several advantages. For example, it is less heavy and takes up less space than a paper background roll and can easily be folded for use on location. You can wash a background cloth in the washing machine and also remove wrinkles by carefully steaming it out. Cloths are sensitive to shrinkage, creasing and colour fading. When washing, therefore make sure that you do not wash them warmer than 30 degrees and do not put them in the dryer.
