Like its predecessor, this paper delivers exceptional image quality across the full contrast range of grades 00–5, but with a number of significant performance improvements.
Thanks to the 5th-generation Multigrade emulsion, it benefits from a slightly warmer base tint, improved blacks for greater depth, enhanced mid-grade separation, and a smoother sensitometric curve — resulting in more even contrast across the full tonal range.
Multigrade RC Portfolio is part of the Ilford Multigrade system, and with Ilford Multigrade filters, seven full contrast grades can be achieved. It can be used with most common safelights for black-and-white darkroom papers, such as the Ilford 902 safelight filter.
