This Hoya HMC R1 Pro colour filter provides increased contrast in your image and is mainly used for shooting in black and white. The red filter is ideal for (outdoor) portraits, among other things, as the red tones are emphasised, while the green tones appear lighter. In addition, it works well for correcting skin tones and brings out facial expressions in portraits. This filter can also be used creatively in colour and infrared photography. Do be aware when using this filter that you will lose 3 stops of light (ND factor of 0.9).

Hoya HMC filters are ??known for their ability to minimise reflection on the filter surfaces, reducing glare and ghosting. The result is an average light transmission of more than 97%, providing sharp contrast and well-balanced colour. HOYA HMC filters are recommended for improving the performance of contemporary multicoated lenses.
