Hoya 77mm Digital Filter Kit II (3 Filters)
The Hoya Digital Filter Kit II consists of three different filters that form a complete set for any photographer. These filters are suitable for everyday use and give you the opportunity to make the most of your own creativity in your photos. This Digital Filter Kit II includes a UV(C) filter, a circular polarising filter, and an ND filter, each with a filter size of 77mm.
UV HMC C Filter
By using a UV filter, haze is reduced, blue and violet are corrected in colour photos, and black-and-white photos become sharper. The multi-coating also reduces annoying reflections. A UV filter is recommended to protect multi-coated lenses against damage such as scratches, and to reduce UV light. The UV filter has a filter factor of zero and has no effect on exposure.
Circular Polarising Filter
Polarising filters are filters often used for special situations. A CP filter has a slightly cooler tone compared to a UV filter. This means, among other things, that some light loss occurs through the filter. It is therefore not recommended to use a CP filter indoors or in the evening on a lens. A CP filter is great for landscape photos; by rotating the CP filter, you can bring out different shades of blue. This lets you decide for yourself how blue you want the sky to appear. A CP filter is also recommended for water surfaces. Using the filter, you can choose whether the water appears reflective or whether you want to photograph "into the depths".
NDx8 Grey Filter
An ND filter reduces the amount of light entering the lens but has no effect on the colours in your photos. This allows for faster shutter speeds or a wider aperture to be selected. Think, for example, of photographing flowing water or cloudy skies, and working with a shallower depth of field. This ND filter provides 3 stops less light.
