The DZOFilm Arles Lustre 25/35/50/75mm FF/VV Prime Cine Lens PL mount (metre) is a set of fast prime lenses that are essentially 'tuned' versions of the standard Arles prime lenses. The Arles Lustre is available in 10 different focal lengths, ranging from 14mm to 180mm. The T-stops range from T1.6 to T2.8. The 14mm, 21mm, and 25mm lenses feature dual aspherical elements that accurately correct spherical aberrations and coma, help eliminate bokeh artefacts, and minimise wide-angle distortion. All lenses feature a 16-blade aperture.
According to DZOFilm, Lustre means 'soft glow', inspired by the iconic golden age of cinema. DZOFilm states that they collaborated with more than 20 image-makers specialising in art films, costume dramas, and fashion commercials. The Lustre series features a unique coating that produces amber-coloured flares with a beautiful soft glow. They also display a mix of warm flares and blue-purple hues. These lenses weigh between 1.4 and 1.9 kg. They have a diameter of 95mm and are compatible with standard M86 filters. All focal lengths feature a uniform placement of the focus and aperture ring gears.
The lenses are equipped with interchangeable imperial and metric focus scales and come with a standard PL mount as well as optional EF and LPL mounts. They are also fully compatible with the DZOFilm KOOP magnetic (rear) filters. DZOFILM states that the Arles Lustre series is highly suited for independent films, costume dramas, experimental films, and fashion/commercial productions.
