The Canon lens offers a fast maximum aperture range of f/2.8-5.6 for use in a variety of conditions and a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-600mm. To shoot from unusual angles or take selfies, the Powershot G3 X is equipped with a 3.2 inch 1.62 m-dot multi-angle tilting LCD touchscreen.
Combining the High Sensitivity sensor with the DIGIC 6 processor creates the Canon HS System. This system delivers excellent low-light performance up to ISO 12,800, along with a wealth of possibilities. Continuous shooting at up to 5.9 frames per second is possible without a buffer slowing you down, and the fast AF system locks focus in just 0.14 seconds. You can also focus with great precision on the G3 X thanks to the 31 points across the frame. Another feature of this system is the ability to record Full HD video up to 60p.
Body design is crucial when it comes to compact long zoom cameras, and the G3 X has multiple physical controls. A continuous ring is available on the lens, while an exposure compensation dial, mode dial, front control ring and control wheel are also present for making adjustments. In addition, built-in WiFi connectivity with NFC is available for a direct connection to your smartphone, tablet or CS100 Connect Station.
