The Canon CN7×17 KAS T/P1 is a versatile, low-light zoom lens for ENG and cine. With a zoom range of 17-120mm, you shoot all your images with a single lens, from wide shots to close-ups.

The Canon CN7×17 KAS T/P1 builds on the CINE-SERVO line. The lens continues the excellent optical performance and mobility of the previous model. Lens distortions are corrected in real-time and the improved focus ring ensures smooth, fast focus adjustments with minimal focus breathing. The lens supports 8K cameras across the entire zoom range.

The lens is designed with a consistently warm colour balance that reproduces skin tones and is compatible with HDR. It has a maximum T-stop of T2.95 and an 11-blade iris. This creates a natural bokeh that is almost circular from fully open to minimum aperture. The odd number of iris blades produces a soft and diffuse light beam when shooting bright subjects.

The focus ring has markings on both the left and right sides in feet and metres. On one side, the markings are coated with luminous paint to improve visibility in low light. In addition, the front focus indicators are engraved on an angled surface with larger text to ensure visibility from the side and back.

The Canon CN7×17 KAS T/P1 is operability and usability as an ENG lens by supporting 12-pin communication, the standard for broadcast camera systems. This PL version supports Cooke /i technology and eXtended Data for real-time output of lens information. The new USB-C interface thereby allows you to save Drive Unit settings and load them into other lenses. Via the USB-C port, you customise the lens completely to your needs and also keep it up to date with the latest firmware. The Drive Unit is also detachable, allowing you to use the lens as a handy cine lens.
