Nikon Z50 + FTZ II adapter
This bundle includes the Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera and the FTZ II adapter.
The Nikon Z50 is Nikon's third camera in its high-end mirrorless range and the first Z-series camera with a DX-format sensor. With the 20.9 megapixel sensor, you capture razor-sharp detail with beautiful depth, contrast and color. Shoot 4K UHD video at up to 30 frames per second, or capture spectacular slow-motion footage in Full HD at 120fps. Thanks to the wide ISO range from 100 to 51,200 and low-light autofocus, no detail is lost, even in situations with little light. The hybrid autofocus system of the Nikon Z50 is incredibly fast, precise and extremely smooth. The autofocus points cover roughly 90% of the frame, so you get sharp photos and videos time after time. The Z50 also has intelligent eye-detection autofocus, where the camera automatically focuses on the eyes of your subject. Even when your subject blends into a group of people, the focus stays razor-sharp. In situations with a lot of movement, you can shoot up to eleven frames in a row while keeping autofocus and automatic exposure active. That way, when you need to act fast, you always end up with a usable photo. Prefer to stay in the background? Or should your subject not be disturbed? Put the Z50 in silent mode and take photos without making a sound. The body of the Z50 is similar to that of the larger Z6 and Z7, where comfort, grip and light weight are very important. The design makes the camera sit nicely in your hand and easy to operate with the buttons and the touchscreen. The electronic viewfinder delivers an unprecedentedly sharp image, comparable to the optical viewfinder of a DSLR, but it can also show the image with your current settings applied.
With a diameter of 55mm, the Z mount is the largest full-frame mount of any camera system. That makes the Z mount the new industry benchmark. A larger mount means more light, and more light means even higher image quality.
The award-winning Z-series cameras embody the elegance, durability, handling and performance of Nikon DSLR cameras, but in a smaller housing. Explore different perspectives with the tilting, high-resolution touchscreen. Swipe easily back and forth when reviewing your images on the tilting, high-resolution touchscreen, and double-tap a part of a photo to view that section at 100%. The large, deep grip and the very well-balanced weight of the Z-series feel comfortable in your hand, both with NIKKOR Z lenses and with F-mount NIKKOR lenses in all kinds of focal lengths in combination with the FTZ adapter.
The menu structure is user-friendly and very familiar if you know Nikon DSLR cameras. Because important buttons and settings are exactly where you need them, every action quickly becomes second nature.
Have you already invested in an extensive collection of Nikon F-mount lenses? Or is there still a lens you absolutely need missing from the NIKKOR Z range? No worries: thanks to the FTZ adapter, all F-mount lenses are compatible with Z-series mirrorless cameras without any loss of quality. You can also keep using all your Speedlight flashes, remote controls, wireless transmitters and external microphones with Nikon Z.
The second-generation Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter makes using an F-mount lens with your Nikon Z camera more comfortable than ever. Improved ergonomics provide enough room to position your fingers comfortably when shooting vertically, even when wearing gloves. Whichever F-mount lens you use, there is no loss of image quality, and NIKKOR lenses without vibration reduction (VR) will find new levels of sharpness.*
(*The FTZ II Mount Adapter works with a total of approximately 360 F-mount lenses, of which 94 are AF-S, AF-P or AF-I types with full AF/AE capabilities.)
Shooting with automatic exposure is enabled for hundreds of F-mount lenses. Lenses with an F-mount and a built-in autofocus motor retain full autofocus capabilities.
(Full AF/AE is supported when using FX or DX AF-S type G/D/E, AF-P type G/E, AF-I type D and AF-S/AF-I teleconverters.)
When you use an F-mount lens with VR, in-lens yaw-and-pitch detection is supplemented by in-camera roll detection. And when you shoot with an F-mount lens without VR, yaw, pitch and roll are corrected in the camera. Seamless in more than just operation: the FTZ II mount adapter is finished in a leather-colored coating, so the look of your F-mount lens blends smoothly with the adapter and with your Nikon Z camera.
A dust- and drip-resistant construction with rubber seals for lens and camera connections, as well as buttons and levers. The sturdy, lightweight magnesium alloy barrel means you are always ready to go.
