Sony A7S Mark II body
The Sony A7S Mark II mirrorless camera offers an impressive mix of sensitivity, dynamic range, resolution and speed, so you can benefit from a versatile multimedia workflow. The camera features a full frame 12.2 Megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor and is capable of recording UHD 4K at 30 fps with full pixel readout, as well as 1080p at up to 120fps. Everything is recorded in XAVC S format. The BIONZ X image processor and the sensor deliver an extended sensitivity of up to ISO 409,600, continuous shooting at up to 5fps and fast, intelligent autofocus with low-light sensitivity down to -4 EV.
To complement the 4K recording capabilities, the recording setup has been redesigned. You can now use S-Log3 Gamma and S-Gamut3 alongside S-Log2, extending the dynamic range up to 1300% to better suit high-end post-production workflows. For clearer monitoring, an improved Zebra function supports working with S-Log gamma settings. A Gamma Display Assist helps you preview footage with natural contrast by converting the S-Log2 and S-Log3 settings to ITU709 gamma, making on-camera viewing easier.
The A7S Mark II also features a compact yet robust magnesium alloy body with a high 0.78x magnification Tru-Finder OLED electronic viewfinder. With a resolution of 2.36 million dots and a Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating, this viewfinder works easily in difficult lighting conditions and can preview the exposure and settings adjustments before you shoot. A 3 inch 1,228,800-dot LCD screen is also available, with a tilting design for working at high or low angles. In addition, the built-in WiFi connectivity with NFC lets you pair mobile devices with the camera for wireless camera control and instant sharing of your images.
