Sony A7C R Black

The Sony A7C R mirrorless camera embodies resolution and mobility. With 61 megapixel resolution and ultra-precise autofocus, your images will consistently be razor-sharp, even when you need to crop them to attain the perfect picture. Besides its superlative performance, this full frame mirrorless camera is also compact and nifty, keeping you flexible and adventurous.

Sensationally sharp

The Sony A7C R features the by now familiar, high-quality Exmor R CMOS sensor with back-illuminated technology from the A7R V. Combined with the Bionz XR image processor, the improved sensor offers razor-sharp 61 megapixel resolution. Images are so sharp you still attain excellent resolution, even after cropping.

Smart, fast focus

The AI-based autofocus is smart, fast and silent. With 693 focus points and 79% coverage, your subject consistently stays in precision focus. The new smart system even recognises non-facial subjects, which is ideal for (fast) moving subjects. People, animals, birds, planes and insects are all closely tracked. For supercharged action moments, shoot in burst mode at up to 8fps, with AE and AF tracking on.

Even in low-light conditions, the A7C R delivers exceptional performance, with high AF precision down to light levels of EV -4.0. The 7-stop IBIS also ensures pleasant shooting in poor lighting conditions. Vibration is effectively reduced, for handheld shooting at long shutter speeds. Focus Breathing is also significantly reduced, which is ideal for taking ultra-sharp photos via focus stacking.

Video performance

The A7C R films in 4K resolution at 60fps, with a crop of 1.2x. In the Super 35 film format, you can utilise a 4K option with oversampling of 6.2K, at up to 30 frames per second. Film smooth slow motion in Full HD at 120fps.

Handheld filming is easier with the addition of Active Mode. Active Mode, familiar from the A7R V, provides extra stabilisation as you record. Breathing Compensation ensures your angle of view remains stable when changing the focal distance. Focusing is precise and efficient thanks to the AF Assist and Focus Map options. Using the Auto Framing function, your subject always stays prominently in focus. AI-based subject recognition technology automatically crops the frame while shooting videos.

For crystal-clear audio, digital audio interface recordings are supported for up to four channels. With an external recorder, the A7C R features 16BIT RAW output via HDMI, yielding the purest form of footage.

Creative control

With the A7C R, you retain full creative control, to make your images just the way you want them. If you are after cinematic images, you can utilise Sony's well-known colour and style profiles, such as S-Cinetone and Creative Look. For extra colour precision, you can customise your images with colour-grading LUTs. For natural skin tones in portrait photography, the camera features Natural & Smooth Skin functions.

For every moment

The Sony A7C R has a compact, lightweight design for superlative freedom of movement. Feel free to go wherever you want; the A7C R is always ready for action! As it is so lightweight, enjoy additional combination possibilities with other equipment, such as drones and stabilisers.

The camera comes with a grip, for a snug fit in the hand. Improved ease of use and a new menu that is well-known from the ZV-E1, make using the A7C R intuitive and comfortable for any photographer. Thanks to the extensive connection options, you stay connected and can share all your images in no time at all.
